Crazy Chemo Dreams

I've had some crazy dreams at night...I'm thinking it's the chemo. I've been on trains, I've been skiing, I've been in London, I've been in the cast of Jersey Shore.   OK, the Jersey Shore was more of a nightmare than a dream.  Maybe enough bad drugs can turn me into a reality TV executive?

My white blood cell counts dropped low enough that I needed an infusion of antibiotics today.  This is to be expected and I'll keep getting these infusions until my counts rebound on their own.  Starting on Thursday, I'll get injections that will stimulate white blood cell production.

I'm feeling tired, but thankfully not too nauseous.  I even got to enjoy a nice BBQ chicken meal that my Mom & Rich brought over to my convalescent home at the Browns last night.  Yummy.

I'll try to come up with something more exciting to post about next time (but hopefully nothing too exciting that involves the hospital!).

Thanks again to all for your thoughts and prayers.

  1. I think you should write a book. I'll take a cut for the idea. You sound great, as always, which is fantastic news. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily. Look forward to seeing you at work (first week was great), thanks for the nice welcome email btw. You are an inspiration, I know you don't like to hear that crap but you are. Becky

  2. Ok...looks like you have found a new secret weapon in your battle...a little "Snookie" can't hurt. Sounds like "so far so good"...glad to hear that. Hi to Jennifer also!

  3. You visited London and didn't stop by? BBC reported a flying superhero - like figure over the Big Ben. Guess too busy to say hello! No worries, we'll just wait for you and Jenn to use more of a conventional way of transportation to get over here - a plane could work...

  5. Okay you in the cast of The Jersey Shore is a visual I can't get out of my head and it just doesn't compute but it is hilarious! Seriously, glad the nausea isn't getting you badly and hope it continues that way. Pray the antibiotics start kicking butt and that your body bounces back to it's stellar self in no time. Give Jen a hug for me too.
